Hi folks,

Do you know where I can get, download, or buy service manuals and electrical schematics for my 2007 Accord V6 SE? Right now I am planning to put in sound processors, speakers, amps, etc. and need to know the wiring schemes and how to detach different panels. But I also will need the manuals for future projects.

Thanks,

Ron

I just helped some one out today with an audio diagram from a little older Honda, it looked like the entire car diagram, just for the freakin audio system, sat radio and all kinds of crap, could not believe it. There were 4 wires for the radio lights, damn.

Thanks. Here is what I see on the Helm web site that I think is relevant to my needs. Can you tell me if I am right?

1- 2003-2007 Accord 2/4-Door L4 Service Manual (KA) $75. is this only for the 4 cylinder version? Mine is 2007 SE V6.

2- 2003-2007 Accord V6 Service Manual Supplement (KA) $50. Is this a complete manual for the V6 (I am wondering why it is called supplement), or do I also need the one above?

3- 2006-2007 Accord Electrical Troubleshooting Manual (KA) $50. I assume the this the manual with all the electrical schematics?

Thanks for all the help.

Most Honda panels are pretty easy to remove, except those around the radio and you really don't need the full body electrical schematics for a stereo install. Only if you are going to be doing some really in depth rewiring of the car for many projects would you need it.

Here is a link with the stereo schematics already posted. It's fro the 06, but I would bet the 07 is the same.

I know that Princess has also posted a pdf of how to take the dash apart as well.

Search in the yearly facts section and you will find pretty much everything you need.

You'll also find a lot of good info in the audio & electronics section.

When I had a service manual for my Jeep it covered all trim levels and drive trains (which is great for repairs and trouble shooting). I don't think this is the case with both Honda Accord manuals; you may just want to check with your local dealer.

You may want to buy both (just guessing here) as both engines share components and the supplement would cover additional features associated with the V6 model.

Thanks Greg. I did some searching earlier on the forum and found some good info. thanks for the link too.

I will be taking the doors panels off as well to install speakers, wiring, crossover, and sound deadening. I am planning to run new speaker wires from the dash to the trunk and back to the doors and possibly the dash. Also, will run power from the battery thru the firewall back to the trunk. Unless someone has posted instructions and pictures for these tasks, for my retarded mind, I think the service manuals would still be helpful.

Thanks,

I'm also thinking the supplement only covers what's different for the V6 engine, but you still need the other manual for all the common stuff.

They are good investments and hold their value pretty well. I just sold my Jeep manual for $70 and paid $80 or $90 about 7 years ago.

Helms Is The Way To Go

I agree-- An OEM service manual should be a default purchase if one's at all inclined to do any work on your own car. It's all spelled out for you, down to the last bolt, and is worth the price. I bought my manuals (general and electrical) even before my Accord arrived at the dealer!

You'll probably need all three books listed above at one time or another-- The first book covers the 4-cylinder engine as well as various universally used components, the V6 supplement obviously covers the V6 engine, and the electrical troubleshooting book contains all the electrical schematics and specifications.

They're expensive compared to the likes of Chilton's, etc., but flat out, OEM service manuals are better...

Thanks for all the replies. I guess I'll breakdown and buy the manuals. I have always worked on my cars and owned all the manuals but these three seemed expensive. But, like some of you said, if you work on the car, you will need it sooner or later.

Thanks again,

What do they charge for an hour of labor at a Honda dealership these days $90. Even if you used them twice you should have recouped your investment.

The manual should come with the car IMO...or at least be given for those who ask.

I was able to find the complete manual (3000 pages) for my girlfriend 2000 Civic. I searched a lot on the web for the Accord manual, without any success...
